The Public Hearing held in the National Assembly Chambers in Belmopan held today June 14, 2017, began at  10:22 A.M, with three witnesses scheduled to appear before the Committee, Ms. Ady Pachecho, Mr. Carlos Perdomo and Mr. Rochelle Chan.

The first witness to appear before the Committee was Ms. Ady Pacheco, Immigration Clerk. However, Ms. Pacheco requested from the Committee that she be granted permission to reappear before the Committee to answer to their questions until the following public hearing when she can have her attorney present. The Committee therefore agreed with her and summoned her to reappear on Wednesday, June 21, 2017.

And finally the third witness was Mr. Rochelle Chan, Assistant Super Intendant. Mr. Chan was brought in as witness to clarify some allegations made against him by Mrs. Alverine Burgess.

All Members of the Committee were present at the public hearing, except for Senator Eamon Courtenay. The meeting concluded at 12:10 P.M. The Senate Special Select Committee is scheduled to meet again next Wednesday, June 14, 2017, to continue its public hearing.
