Today, Friday, 14th August 2020, the House of Representatives met in the Chambers of the National Assembly Building in Belmopan. The meeting began at 10:30 A.M. The Orders of the Day comprised of four (4) Bills brought from the House of Representatives. Those were: General Revenue Supplementary Appropriation (2020/2021) (No.3) Bill, 2020; Crime Control and Criminal Justice (Amendment) Bill, 2020; Customs Regulation (Amendment) Bill, 2020; and Labour (Amendment) Bill, 2020. Those four Bills were passed. There was also one (1) Paper that was ordered to lie on the Table, which was the Supplementary Appropriation (No.3) Schedule for Fiscal Year 2020/2021. As well, there was one (1) Motion that was adopted and that was Extending the Period of Public Emergency in the Country of Belize Declared by Proclamation of the Governor-General on 6th August 2020, Motion, 2020.
Several Members of the House of Representatives spoke on the adjournment. The Meeting was adjourned at 2:30. P.M
