On Monday, 18th September 2023, the Louisiana 156th Army Band out of Bossier City, Louisiana, stopped in at the National Assembly of Belize for a tour.
The group of 12 Soldiers got a chance to sit in the Public Galleries where the Clerk of the National Assembly gave them an in-depth explanation of the composition, functions, and historical documentation of the Legislature.
After the presentation, CW4 Wade Furniss shared that this is the Band’s eighth visit to Belize, the first being in 2006. The group expressed their thanks for the opportunity to learn about the National Assembly of Belize and to see the accessories of the Chamber, such as the Law Books and the Mace.
