Today, Monday 27th April 2020, the House of Representatives convened in the National Assembly Chambers in Belmopan to adopt the Extending the Period of Public Emergency in the Country of Belize Declared by Proclamation of the Governor-General on April 1, 2020, Motion, 2020.
The days agenda was rather short with only the above mentioned Motion. At today’s Meeting, only the following Members were present in order to maintain social distancing due to the Covid-19 virus: the Speaker of the House of Representatives; the Rt. Hon. Prime Minster; The Hon. Michael Finnegan; the Hon. Anthony Martinez; the Hon. Pablo Marin; the Leader of the Opposition; Hon. Cordel Hyde; Hon. Julius Espat.
The meeting adjourned at 12:40 P.M.
