On Monday, 5th July 2021, The Honourable Ramon Cervantes, Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Immigration, and Chairman of the Finance and Economic Development Committee along with the Honourable Tracy Panton, Member for Alberts and Member of the Finance and Economic Development Committee attended a virtual Zoom meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Commission on Financial, Economic and Budgetary Affairs” and the “Inter-Parliamentary Commission on Tourism, Youth and Sports organized by  the Forum of Presidents and Presidents of the Legislative Powers of Central America, the Caribbean Basin and Mexico (FOPREL)and the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration (SIECA) regarding the Impact of COVID-19, in intraregional trade. The meeting aimed to inform decision-makers about the Economic Impact of Covid-19, in Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico, about regional measures that could be implemented jointly and in coordination between the Executive, Legislative and other binding actors, to facilitate economic recovery.
